Jeff James returns to his hometown of Salem as chef and owner of j.james restaurant.
Prior to opening j.james restaurant in December of 1999, Jeff was the Executive Chef at Sun Mountain Lodge - a destination ski resort in Washington. During his tenure as Executive Chef, the Lodge received the Mobil 4 Star Award and AAA 4 Diamond Status, as well as the DiRonna Award. His cuisine earned raves from reviews featured in Travel & Leisure and Northwest Palate magazines.
Jeff also received the recognition of the prestigious James Beard Foundation. He went to New York City to prepare a multi-course menu for guests at The James Beard House.
